How to heat the wax

Before heating: check the jar is not cracked or misshapen and that the microwave is clean and working correctly.

Place the jar to one side of the microwave turntable, not in the centre. For correct heating the microwave should have a turntable; if not, supervise the heating closely throughout.

Heat using the guide below. These times are approximate and should be adjusted to your microwave's wattage and the amount of wax in the jar. If your microwave has no seconds counter, use a timer or stopwatch. Use the "heat" setting only — never select "defrost", "cook" or "grill".

Rest: once heated, let the wax stand in the microwave for 1 minute. Watch the wax as it heats and stop immediately if anything seems wrong. No bubbles should form and the wax should not become fully liquid; if this happens, let it rest for 15 minutes without touching the jar until it cools. The wax is ready when it has a honey-like consistency. Always check the temperature is comfortable before applying — overheated wax can cause burns.

Homogenise: holding the jar by its handle, carefully insert the spatula and stir the wax to even out its texture.

Reheat if needed: if the mixture is not yet even, reheat in 10-second bursts until the wax has the right texture. Never heat the jar with the spatula left inside; remove the spatula from the jar once hair removal is finished.
Heating times guide
Full jar: 1000 W microwave — 1 minute 10 seconds; 750 W microwave — 1 minute 15 seconds. Rest: 1 minute (both wattages). Homogenising: 1 minute (both wattages).
How to apply and remove the wax

Apply: take a walnut-sized amount of wax with the spatula. Spread it over the area to be waxed in the direction of hair growth, forming a layer 1–2 mm thick. Leave slightly more wax at the end of the strip to make it easier to grip when removing.

Remove: let the wax dry until it is no longer sticky to the touch. Stretch the skin taut with one hand and, with the other, pull the layer of wax away in one firm, confident movement, close to the skin and against the direction of hair growth.

Legs: spread the wax in one motion following the direction of hair growth. Strips should measure 10–15 cm at most.

Bikini area: flex the leg outward to stretch the skin better, and apply the wax in small sections, following the same apply-and-remove steps.

Underarms: underarm hair grows in two directions, so wax this area in two steps. Raise the elbow and bring the hand towards the nape of the neck to stretch the skin. For the upper area, spread the wax towards the elbow; for the lower area, repeat in the opposite direction.

Upper lip: wax in two steps. Spread the wax from the centre of the lip out to one side, then repeat on the other side, following the apply-and-remove steps each time.

Finish: remove any wax residue using a post-depilation wipe or a body oil. Do not use water, soap or alcohol to remove residue.
Some redness may appear on the waxed area afterwards. This is normal and usually disappears within 24 hours.
Precautions
Follow the instructions for use. Avoid overheating the wax. Supervise the heating process at all times — wax that is too hot or too liquid can cause burns. Do not apply the wax to cracked skin, or skin with wounds, irritation, varicose veins, warts, spots, moles or burns, nor to the nipples, genitals, eyes or mucous membranes. Wax hair removal is not suitable for elderly people, diabetics, or those with circulation problems. Do not sunbathe and avoid the use of deodorants for the 24 hours before and after hair removal. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest. Store in a cool, dry place.
